Sam McCallum was one of the founding Trustees when the Trust was formed in 2007. As director of Hartwood Oak Buildings Ltd he is responsible for the financial side of the business and looks after the accounts for the Trust. Sam has had a lifelong interest in the Second World War probably fuelled in part by having grown up at one end of Greenham Common Airbase and having been strongly influenced by having veterans of the conflict as close family friends. Between 2004 and 2005 he was closely involved with dismantling and repairing the last block of stables to house 101st US paratroopers in Aldbourne during the war, and their subsequent reassembly in a military museum in Toccoa, Georgia, USA.
